Here are the musicians who are
JazzIN' Orlando!
|
Paul Howards
Howards'
style has been described as heartfelt,
melodic, and seductive. Each of these elements are something on
their own, together they're something else. And
the classy, sincere delivery makes it just a little more
... it makes it both very cool ... and very hot!
In a genre where predictability too often takes precedence over
innovation, Howards stands apart as a performer
whose music makes a difference.
With a taste of funk, a little hip-hop, and some retro-soul
Howards alternates between aggressive alto and
cool romantic tenor sax ... often on the same track. This sound is
anything but ordinary. In fact it's so extraordinary we couldn't keep it
quiet.
We all knew Paul was good, and in a way we wanted to keep him to
ourselves. But this level of talent hasn't gone unnoticed ... yep, the
rest of the world has discovered him. He's away from home often touring as
saxophonist
with pop group 'N Sync, and with pop/rap singer Justin Timberlake.
He still plays dates close to home whenever he can. So keep an eye
for out his performances in the
Orlando area ... as well as the Southeast, and across the country!

thom chambers
There’s a point some musicians move beyond, a point past
simply creating and performing music. It’s the point where two very
different parts of the brain ... the parts
where sensibility and artistry live separately ...
learn to play well together. The results are amazing!
You can hear it in Chambers' music.
He's played the Montreux Jazz Festival three times, toured the Southeast, opened
Orlando shows for some of the best in the business, and calls Central
Florida home.
His musical class and
clarity, and elegance and intelligence, make a definitive mark on
listeners before blending like spice into a Latin beat, a jazz standard,
or one of his signature tunes — like Chet Baker’s My Funny Valentine
(from his first solo CD, Under Covers) which Chambers made
his own before renaming it My Funky
Valentine.
Chambers' signature writing style is also evident in Botanica, an
original from his second solo CD, The Joy of Sax.
Whether he’s performing original material, traditional jazz, or jazz
standards, Thom’s understanding, enjoyment, and appreciation for music
energizes every show.

Sisaundra Lewis
Combining both a glorious vocal instrument and
performance skills, she approaches her love for music with an incredible
assurance. Her soul is filled with music. Listen and enjoy the authentic,
soulful sounds of Sisaundra Lewis.
Touring took her and her band to Japan where she
met R&B artist Peabo Bryson who asked
her to join him on tour as a duet partner and
background vocalist.
Later, she toured and recorded with
Celine Dion and worked with
her as a background vocalist, vocal director, and choreographer for the
superstar's group.
And now Central Florida can enjoy all that Sisaundra Lewis has to offer.

Sunnie Paxson
This contemporary
jazz pianist, producer, and composer
is extremely versatile with a repertoire of countless compositions for
stage and screen. She takes the joys and heartbreaks of life and
transforms them into songs of expression of the human condition ... a
unique and refreshing gift in the jazz genre.
Extensive, worldwide touring and recording with legendary jazz bassist
Stanley Clarke allowed Paxson to record and
share the stage with many other great players such as Justo Almario, John
Pattatuci, Michael Sembello, Everett Harp, and
Michael Paulo to name just a few.
She shares a
manager with guitar-great Larry Carlton and has composed and
produced music for many motion pictures as well as Fox Sports Network,
ABC, CBS, NBC, Telemundo and Super Bowl shows.
Central Florida is lucky to have this outstanding
performer.

Tamara Danielsson
Think of cool jazz, smooth jazz, contemporary jazz ...
each conjures up a different image for every individual. Think of any of
those styles then blend in sophistication, along with a flavor reminiscent
of vintage jazz, and the music from Tamara Danielsson comes to mind.
Listen to her music and you'll find yourself in
a different place. In your mind you're putting your feet up, relaxing, and
sipping rich wine from a good crystal glass. If that sounds too tame to
you, wait awhile ... Tamara changes the pace
with a kick and a funk on a cut here, moves to different groove there, and
generally mixes it up for your listening pleasure.
Even though she calls it home, Danielsson limits her Central Florida
engagements ... so catch her while you can.

Greg
Pakstis
Instead of piano or solo violin, consider classical (nylon string)
guitar or solo guitar with backing tracks for your next event. Great for
background music. A classy addition to a business promotion. Simply
charming for weddings. Would you like nice soft standards, bossa novas
and ballads to compliment your event? Or perhaps something a little more
energetic, hip, groovin', but still not overbearing? Tasteful and
appropriate, professional and smart. If you're looking to hire a
guitarist, whether you're an individual, a contractor, or a band, you've
come to the right place. Hire the professional. Also available as a duo
with the addition of saxophone.
